The Actiwave Cardio is a waterproof ultra-miniature (weighing less than 10 grams) single channel ECG waveform recorder that makes it an ideal sensor for continuous monitoring of Heart Rate Variability with VivoSense HRV Professional Edition.
The VivoSense® software and HRV module provide detailed analysis capabilities for the ActiWave Cardio sensor.
The Actiwave Cardio consists of two electrodes connected by a short lead which simply clip onto two standard ECG pads worn on the chest. The sensor also contains a tri-axial accelerometer, which allows VivoSense® to determine activity and body position. For a single channel 24 hour holter recording the Actiwave Cardio provides excellent wearability. The very small size and weight allows for continuous monitoring in a wide range of subjects and applications.
- Record a full single channel ECG Waveform for up to 31 hours
- Simultaneously record 3-axes of acceleration
- Combine heart rate and activity measurements
- VivoSense® algorithms derive additional respiratory rate from ECG measurement
- Use acceleration data to record body position
- Non-invasive technology
- Compact and lightweight. Subjects “wear and forget”
- Non-volatile memory
The Actiwave Cardio attaches to the chest using standard ECG electrodes with 4mm male snap connectors. An internal accelerometer measures 3 axes of acceleration which can be used to determine body position. Physiological signals are amplified, sampled and stored in non-volatile flash memory.
At the end of the recording, the Cardio is removed from the electrodes and placed on a dock connected to a PC. The Actiwave control software transfers data from the recorder to the PC via the dock and USB cable. Actiwave data is stored on the PC and can be easily imported into VivoSense® software for detailed visualization and analysis.
